Secretariat of the Assembly of States Parties

At the second session of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court on 12 September 2003, the Assembly adopted resolution ICC-ASP/2/Res.3 establishing the Permanent Secretariat of the Assembly.

The Permanent Secretariat of the Assembly commenced its work in 2004 in The Hague. The Director of the Secretariat is Mr. Renan Villacis (Ecuador).
